Hailing from a travel agency background, Shamali De Vaz, along with her daughter Venuka, inaugurated Infinity Wedding Planners in order to offer exclusive wedding services. The experience she received through her travel agency and her expertise in hospitality services assisted her in specializing in wedding planning.
When she was travelling to UK once, she spotted a couple doing a photo-shoot with a tandem bicycle which was exquisitely decorated with blossoms. She said, “It was a picturesque sight! – And I fell in love with the idea of tandem bicycles.”
Tandem bicycles are widely used in other countries but was not available in Sri Lanka and this inspired her to take initiative in introducing them.

However, our latest addition is an exclusive product – the tandem bicycle.
We believe that we, at Infinity Wedding Planners, are the first to introduce a tandem bicycle in Sri Lanka.
Imported from UK, our only bicycle is white in colour and can be matched with any theme as we offer bespoke decorations suited to satisfy our clients’ taste. The bicycle is equipped with a “Just Married” sign and a lovely wicker basket which we decorate with flowers and blooms, balloons or any other beautifications according to client requirements. However, if our clients prefer the decorations to be done by themselves that is acceptable too.
Moreover, when it comes to hiring our tandem bicycle, our clients do not have to face any hassle as we would deliver the bicycle to the location – whether it is in or out of Colombo.
How can a couple take use of the tandem bicycle?
Our tandem bicycle can be used as a prop for wedding decorations, going away, engagement shoots, pre- wedding shoots and many more!
How soon should a couple reserve your services?
It is better to check the availability of dates and book a couple of days prior to the required date just to avoid regrets as we offer only one bicycle currently.
What are your future plans for Infinity Wedding Planners?
We intend on improving our services to offer more than what we are currently providing and most importantly we want to introduce more unique products like our tandem bicycle to give couples a whole new experience for their weddings or photo-shoots.
